Social Media Scheduler Agent
One piece of content. Three platforms. Platform-appropriate format, tone, and length — ready to schedule. Get started — join Bodega Pass
What it does
The Social Media Scheduler Agent takes a source — a blog post, product update, announcement, newsletter, or just a topic — and produces platform-optimized social posts for LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and Instagram. Each post is reformatted for that platform's norms: LinkedIn's longer professional tone, Twitter/X's concise punchy style, Instagram's visual-first caption structure. Then it passes the posts to your scheduler (Buffer, Hootsuite, or native platform schedulers) with suggested timing.
One input, three ready-to-schedule outputs. No manual reformatting between platforms.
Why reformatting matters
A LinkedIn post copied directly to Twitter reads too long. A tweet posted to LinkedIn feels thin and flippant. An Instagram caption without a hook loses the first scroll. Each platform has its own norms — length, tone, hashtag usage, the role of a call to action. The agent applies those norms automatically so you're not manually editing down (and inevitably missing something) for each channel.
What's generated for each platform
- One professional post, 150–300 words, with a hook, a substantive body, and a clear close. Formatted for LinkedIn's feed: short paragraphs, no markdown, 3–5 relevant hashtags. Optionally includes a thought-leadership angle that performs well on the platform.
- Twitter/X
- A thread option (3–5 tweets) or a single tweet, depending on the source complexity. Punchy, direct, opinionated. Optimized for retweet and reply engagement. Includes relevant hashtags and a clear CTA when appropriate.
- Caption designed for visual-first context: hook in the first line (before "more"), substantive body, and a closing CTA or question that drives comments. 5–10 hashtags in a format that works in the first comment or the caption body. Assumes you have a visual — the agent doesn't generate images, but suggests one.
Who uses it
- Content creators and marketers who publish across multiple platforms and want consistent presence without spending an hour reformatting every piece
- Founders and executives who want LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and Instagram covered from one content calendar without managing a social media team
- Agency social media teams managing multiple clients across different platforms — the agent adapts tone and voice to each client's style reference
- Solopreneurs who produce content (a newsletter, a blog, a podcast) and want to cross-post without it becoming a second full-time job
Time saved
Manually reformatting one piece of content across three platforms — writing platform-specific hooks, adjusting length, finding the right hashtags, scheduling — takes 45 minutes to 90 minutes per piece, done properly. The Social Media Scheduler Agent reduces that to 5–10 minutes of review and approval. At two posts a week, that's 6–12 hours back per month.
What's included
- Platform-specific post generation for LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and Instagram
- Voice calibration guide — provide 3–5 examples per platform and the agent matches your style across all three
- Hashtag recommendation logic by platform and topic
- Buffer and Hootsuite integration (direct-to-queue) for n8n and Make setups
- Optimal posting time suggestions by platform and audience type
- Step-by-step setup guide for n8n, Make, and standalone prompt runner
Requirements
- API key from an AI provider (OpenAI or Anthropic — estimated $2–6/month at 8 posts/month across platforms)
- n8n (free or cloud), Make (free tier for low volume), or run the prompts directly
- A Buffer or Hootsuite account for direct scheduling (optional — you can copy-paste outputs instead)
- Voice reference: 3–5 examples of your best-performing posts per platform
How is this different from the LinkedIn Post Agent?
The LinkedIn Post Agent generates a week's worth of posts (five formats) from a single brief — it's designed for LinkedIn-first content creation. The Social Media Scheduler Agent takes a single piece of existing content and distributes it across platforms — it's designed for cross-posting and content amplification. They solve different problems: creation vs. distribution. Many operators use both.
Common questions
- Can it handle different voices for different clients?
- Yes. Each run takes a voice reference: examples of past posts in the target style. For agencies managing multiple clients, you pass different voice references per run. The setup guide covers how to organize client voice references for efficient batch processing.
- What if I only use two of the three platforms?
- The agent is modular — configure it for the platforms you use. Running LinkedIn and Twitter/X only, without Instagram, is a simple configuration option covered in the setup guide.
- Does it post automatically or queue for approval?
- By default, it queues in Buffer or Hootsuite for your approval before publishing. You can configure direct-to-publish if you're confident in the output quality after calibration, but the default is queue-then-approve — you stay in control of what goes out.
- Does it work with TikTok or YouTube Shorts?
- Not in the current version — LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and Instagram are the core three. TikTok and YouTube Shorts are video-first platforms where AI text generation is a smaller part of the production process.
