This policy explains what BotBodega collects, why, how we handle it, and the choices you have. We keep it plain: we collect the minimum we need to run the store, and we never sell your personal data.

Data we collect

We collect only what we need to operate BotBodega:

• Usage data — pages visited and clicks, used to understand what's working and improve the site. This is collected only after you consent to analytics (see below).
• Contact information — your name and email when you join a waitlist, create an account, or make a purchase.
• Transaction data — a record of what you purchased, so we can deliver your products and provide support. Card details are handled by our payment processor, not by us.

How we use your data

We use your data to deliver the products you buy, provide support, keep the site secure and reliable, and — only with your consent — to measure and improve how the site performs. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.

Analytics

We use privacy-friendly analytics (PostHog) loaded ONLY after you explicitly consent. You can decline at any time, and you can withdraw a previously granted consent by declining the banner or clearing your browser storage. No analytics data is collected without your consent.

Error monitoring

We use Sentry for error monitoring to identify and fix technical issues. Sentry captures anonymized stack traces and error context when something goes wrong. It does not collect personal information such as names or email addresses. Error monitoring is active regardless of analytics consent, as it is necessary for site reliability.

Cookies and local storage

We store a single value in your browser's local storage to remember your analytics choice, so we don't ask again on every visit and never load analytics unless you've agreed. We do not use tracking cookies. Clearing your browser storage resets this choice.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card is entered directly with Stripe and we never receive or store full payment card details. Stripe processes this data as an independent payment provider under its own terms and privacy policy.

Data sharing

We share personal data only with the service providers named in this policy (analytics, error monitoring, and payments), and only to the extent needed to run the store. We may also disclose data if required by law. We do not sell your personal data.

Data retention

We keep contact and transaction data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the products you purchased and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Consent-based analytics data is retained only while relevant to improving the site. You can ask us to delete your data at any time, subject to those legal obligations.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, or to withdraw consent, contact us at privacy@botbodega.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Children's privacy

BotBodega is intended for business operators and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the store evolves. When we make a material change we will update the date above. We will not reduce the protections described here without a corresponding change to how the site actually handles data. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
