Competitor Watch Workflow
Every Monday: a Slack or email digest of what your competitors published, announced, or changed last week — without spending a minute on it yourself. Get started — join Bodega Pass
What it does
The Competitor Watch Workflow monitors up to 10 competitor domains on a weekly schedule. It pulls their latest blog posts, press releases, product announcement pages, and pricing signals, then asks AI to summarize what changed: new messaging, new features announced, pricing page updates, leadership news. You get a structured digest — one paragraph per competitor — delivered to Slack or email every Monday morning.
What it monitors
- Content and blog updates — new posts, topic shifts, and messaging changes on their content hub
- Product and feature announcements — new pages, changelog entries, or announcement-format posts
- Pricing page changes — detected when the pricing page content changes from the prior week's snapshot
- Press and news — new press releases, media mentions, or funding announcements surfaced from news feeds
- AI summary of significance — for each competitor, a one-paragraph assessment of what changed and why it might matter
Who uses it
- Founders and product teams tracking competitive position for product and pricing decisions
- Sales teams who need to know when a competitor changes their messaging or pricing before a call
- Marketing teams building and refreshing positioning against a competitive set
- Investors and analysts monitoring a portfolio company's competitive landscape
Time saved
Manually checking 5–10 competitors each week — visiting each site, scanning for new content, checking the pricing page, looking for news — takes 2–3 hours. Most teams either do it poorly (spot-checking one or two) or not at all, and find out about competitive moves late. The Competitor Watch Workflow does a complete sweep in zero of your minutes, delivered before your week starts.

Common questions
- How many competitors can it monitor?
- The workflow is configured to monitor up to 10 competitors. For most competitive sets, 5–10 is the right range — enough to catch meaningful moves without noise. The guide covers how to prioritize your competitive set if your list is longer.
- What if a competitor doesn't publish much publicly?
- The workflow monitors whatever is publicly available — content hub, pricing page, news feeds. For competitors with thin public footprints, the digest section for that competitor is shorter and flags the absence of activity as a data point in itself.
- How does it detect pricing page changes?
- The workflow stores a snapshot of each competitor's pricing page from the prior week and compares it to the current version. Changes in text, structure, or pricing-related language are flagged and included in the digest.
- Can I change the delivery day or frequency?
- Yes. The schedule trigger is fully configurable. Weekly Monday delivery is the default; you can change the day, add a mid-week check for fast-moving competitive environments, or run it monthly for slower-moving markets.
